MONTHLY AUCTIONS

Badger Stamp Club auctions are open to both members and non-members, as buyers and sellers. Sellers must submit the club's standard auction sale form with each item. Forms are available from the auction clerk. If help is required, the auction clerk will be happy to assist in filling out the form. Lot check-in begins during the "talk 'n' swap" (trade/buy/sell) session and must be completed 15 minutes before the general meeting. General meetings begin promptly and all want an opportunity to study lots beforehand.

Bids are taken from the floor as our auctioneer goes through each individual lot. If you are a successful bidder, please announce your name immediately, and a runner will deliver your lot to you. The auction clerk will collect your payment when the auction has concluded. Checks will be accepted.

The club retains a 5 percent commission from the seller. (Currently, club auctions in June and December are commission-free.) Sellers are paid their amount due as soon as all buyers have remitted payment. No-bid lots may be resubmitted at succeeding auctions. Any private transaction of no-bid lots listed on the auction tally for the day of said auction will be subject to the 5 percent commission to the club.
