Dear ATA Chapter 5 member,
The March meeting of ATA Chapter 5 will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 in Room G150 in the lower level of the Mayfair Shopping Mall at 2500 N. Mayfair Road (Highway 100) in Wauwatosa.

Art Schmitz will be putting on a program about "Dead Countries" for us at this meeting. Art is a member of the Wisconsin Federation of Stamp Clubs (WFSC) Speakers Bureau and has put this program on for other groups. His presentation has been well received and we think that you will find this to be an interesting program. If you have an item from a dead country in your collection bring it along for a show and tell for the enjoyment of the other members.

This is a reminder to a couple of members who have not paid their 2006 membership dues that their names will be dropped from the membership roll and they will no longer be receiving notices of the club meetings unless the dues are paid before the end of March. At just $2.00 we hope that you are getting your moneys worth from your membership and hope that we can continue to count each and everyone of you as members for 2006. If you cannot make the meeting to pay your membership in person, please send payment to Ray Sullivan (ATA Chapter 5 Treasurer) at 125 N 123rd Street, Wauwatosa, WI 53226.

Once again I want to remind you that the deadline for reservations for the Distinguished Philatelist Appreciation Dinner is March 21, 2006. This is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for all that the honoree has done for our hobby. Thus far we have been able to show this appreciation and enjoy the camaraderie for the past 19 years and this year should be no different. Plan now to attend this luncheon at12:30 P.M. (Cash bar) and 1:00 P.M. (Lunch) at the Venice Club at 1905 N. Calhoun Road in Brookfield. Mail your reservations with $20.00 (Check payable to Kurt Albrecht) to Dona Fagan at W140-N7470 Lilly Road, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051-4608. We really would like to see YOU there.

I am including a piece that came across the intemet even though it has absolutely nothing to do with philately, but it really hit my funny bone and I thought that you might get a chuckle from it too. I suppose we could tie it in with philately by saying that the guy was a stamp collector, but I think that most stamp collectors are smarter than this.

With best wishes,

Robert J. Mather
